Lyceum’s engaging, high-quality initial security guard course is approved by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions (MPCTC). Our discussion-based format keeps students actively involved, ensuring real understanding of legal authority, professional conduct, and situational awareness. With experienced instructors and a focus on practical application, this course builds the confidence and competence every professional security officer needs to succeed. The course requires a passing score of 70%, which includes both a 50-question final examination and regular course participation.
