Covering firearm safety, defensive mindset, Maryland law, and live-fire qualification, this course meets all state training requirements for your Maryland Handgun Qualification License. This course is designed for citizens interested in responsible firearm ownership in the home. Completion of this course and application for the HQL does not permit licensees to carry concealed in public.

Courses with fewer than 5 enrollments are subject to cancellation. In such cases, all enrollment fees will be refunded to students or arrangements made for transfer to a different iteration of the course.

Hybrid CCW Training

Lyceum Security Training Services offers a state-approved hybrid course that fulfills all Maryland requirements for the Wear and Carry (CCW) permit. While we firmly believe that live, in-person training produces the most confident and capable defenders, we also understand the need for flexibility in today’s busy world. Our hybrid format blends convenient online instruction with essential hands-on training, ensuring both accessibility and rigor.

All students must complete four hours of in-person practical firearm handling and safety instruction before undertaking the live-fire qualification. This crucial session allows our instructors to evaluate each participant’s understanding and consistent application of the Four Universal Rules of Gun Safety—the foundation of every responsible armed citizen’s skill set.
